Ben & Jerry’s x Nike

The Ben & Jerry’s x Nike collaboration project was something that was near to many Vermonter’s hearts, mine included. I wanted to add my own spin on the project and add some Nike Skateboarding flair to the iconic Ben & Jerrys branding. With some diligent digging, I was able to track down the Ben & Jerry’s branding guidelines on a reddit forum. With that at my disposal, I created a pint style graphic that has Woody the cow in the Nike SB Spirit. There is also a call out to Maven Skate Shop, the only Vermont retailer to receive and sell this shoe.

Charmin Money

When the covid pandemic first hit, one of the biggest surprises that we all encountered was the panic buying of toilet paper. I needed to create something that encapsulated the irony of toilet paper being compared to gold. The idea was toilet paper themed currency notes. Charmin was the perfect candidate, due to popularity, and the fact that their bear mascots felt like the perfect replacement for the idolized head in the middle of the bill. I wanted to keep the design style in the cartoon world, to fit the Charmin mascot and add to the humor of the project. The result is the Government Issued Tissue you see below.

Pokemon x Nike

Pokémon and Nike are two brands / cultures that have captivated much of America since their inception. This is a hypothetical collaboration of the two brands with the product being a collection of sneakers and co-branded accessories / packaging. The sneakers are directly inspired by the Pokémon character they are paired with. I’ve also created one example of a collectors card, or Pokémon/sneaker card, with the sneaker taking the place of the picture of the Pokémon. The shoebox packaging design draws from the design features of the “Pokeball”. The first slide in the series is a 3D model of a Pokeball in the signature Nike orange with the “swoosh” adorning the top, giving a not so subtle hint of what the collection entails.
